Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a type of psychotherapy that is used to help individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences.
It is based on the idea that when a person is exposed to a traumatic event, the information related to the event is stored in the brain in an unprocessed form.
EMDR therapy seeks to help the individual reprocess these memories and bring insight and resolution to them.
During an EMDR session, the therapist will use eye movements, tapping, and other techniques to help the individual access and process the memories.
The goal of EMDR therapy is to help the individual gain insight, reduce distress, and improved functioning

Through the use of mindfulness, acceptance and behavior change strategies, ACT therapy helps individuals create a life that they can deeply value and enjoy.
